"Descobrir que você é diabético é bastante dramático", diz o cantor de seu diagnóstico surpresa no ano passado, depois de tonturas e desmaios que o levaram a acordar em uma cama de hospital. "Eu comecei a me sentir estranho, e então eu comecei a ficar muito desajeitado. Caí algumas vezes e quebrei um dedo, depois caiu da escadas e quebrei um dedo do pé. Então, eu desmaiei. Eu fiquei coma por três dias. Eles basicamente me disse que eu tinha o mais alto nível de açúcar que já tinha visto. Depois, eles me disseram que eu tinha um 50% de chance de sair com danos cerebrais ".

“Finding out you’re diabetic is pretty dramatic,” says the singer of his surprise diagnosis last year, following dizzy spells and blackouts that led him to wake up in a hospital bed. “I just started feeling weird, and then I started getting really clumsy. I fell down some stars and broke a finger, then fell down some other stairs and broke a toe. Then I collapsed. I was in a coma for three days. They basically told me I had the highest sugar level they’d ever seen. Afterwards, they told me I had a 50/50 chance of coming out with brain damage.”
