O Motivo da Saída de Dave Lombardo esta relacionado a parte financeira,

que ele mesmo diz ter sido prejudicado portanto a banda não vai contar

com suas porradas e serviços vide tour australiana.

Slayer confirma Jon Datte (Apocalypse, Evildead, Testament, Killing Machine e o proprio Slaye)

na tour australiana que começou no sabado passado dia 23

    

a banda não consegui chegar a um  acordo com Lombardo já que os companheiros de banda

esperavam um reconcilhamento e para os fãs podem perde as esperanaças de Lombardo volte ao Slayer. esperamos que todos os blogs e sites como este estejam errado

mas conhece a estoria da banda com Dave Lombardo que já chegou a ignorá-lo em

algumas apresentações após ele esta tocando com Grip Inc .

Só digo uma coisa uma das grandes atrações  do Rock In Rio 2013 que seria Slayer junto

com Dave Lombardo é um sonho que virou pesadelo.

Late Wednesday night, Dave Lombardo announced that after going to his Slayer bandmates to discuss shady accounting practices that may be robbing them of their hard-earned money, he was basically told that his services will not be needed for the band’s upcoming Australian tour, if ever again.
Now the remaining members of Slayer have released a statement of their own, and, you probably won’t be shocked to learn, they basically accuse Lombardo of being full of shit:

“Slayer confirms that Jon Dette will drum for the band on its Australian tour that starts this Saturday, February 23 in Brisbane. As regards Dave Lombardo‘s Facebook post, Slayer does not agree with Mr. Lombardo‘s substance or the timeline of the events, except to acknowledge that Mr. Lombardo came to the band less than a week before their scheduled departure for Australia to present an entirely new set of terms for his engagement that were contrary to those that had been previously agreed upon.
“The band was unable to reach an agreement on these new demands in the short amount of time available prior to leaving for Australia. There is more to the account than what Mr. Lombardo has offered, but out of respect to him, Slayer will not be commenting further. Slayer is grateful to its Australian fans for their understanding of this unfortunate last-minute change, and very much looks forward to seeing them at these shows.”

So the Australian shows are going forward without Lombardo (or Jeff Hanneman, for that matter), and while the door is still open for the drummer and his bandmates to reconcile… I don’t think anyone should get their hopes up. Now that this dispute has gone public, there are egos and issues of public appearance to consider. I hope I’m wrong, or, at the very least, that “Lave Dombardo” finds his way to a Slayer audition soon.

Professor No Texas Ensina Alunos Baseado Em Letras Do Heavy Metal -#Metal

You may have missed this on Monday, but West Texas A&M University has begun offering a class on heavy metal lyrics in their English department. Pretty awesome, we know. Now, Professor Martin Jacobsen who oversees the program offers a few tidbits on how the whole thing got started.
In a new interview with Death Metal Underground, Professor Jacobsen reveals how the class was born:

The students realized it. I just mentioned it would be cool to have a class on heavy metal, and the response was crazy. Word spread and people started asking me about it. The boss was in favor of it, and we had already been offering some classes off the beaten path. So, I proposed it.

As for the engagement of the students in the class compared to classic lit classes…

Way more. But, many of the students are in the class precisely because they are metalheads. Other literature classes at this level are seen as ‘have to’ humanities classes. I usually teach classical literature when I teach these classes. I get pretty good responses in those classes, but nothing like this. The students called the secretary the other day because we had a blizzard here and they wanted to make sure class was meeting. They didn’t want to miss it. Usually, a blizzard is a day off for most students, especially for a core class. This class draws people who want to be there. It’s not a fair comparison in many ways.

West Texas A & M University começou a oferecer uma aula sobre letras do heavy  metal em seu departamento de Inglês. Muito legal,  sabemos  disto . Agora, o Professor Martin Jacobsen, que supervisiona o programa oferece alguns boatos sobre a forma como a coisa toda começou.

Em uma nova entrevista com o  ,Professor Jacobsen revela como a classe nasceu:

     Os alunos perceberam isso. Eu apenas mencionei que seria legal ter uma aula sobre o heavy metal, e a resposta foi uma loucura. A notícia se espalhou e as pessoas começaram a me perguntar sobre isso. O chefe era a favor dela, e que já tinha vindo a oferecer algumas classes

Quanto ao envolvimento dos alunos na classe em comparação com aulas clássicas de  literatura.

     Muito mais. Mas, muitos dos estudantes estão na classe precisamente porque são metaleiros. Outros aulas de literatura Eu costumo ensinar literatura clássica para essas classes. Eu recebo respostas muito boas nessas classes. Os alunos pediram para o secretário no outro dia porque tivemos uma nevasca aqui e queria ter certeza de classe estava reunido. Eles não querem perder. Normalmente, uma tempestade de neve é um dia de folga para a maioria dos estudantes, especialmente para uma classe principal. Esta classe chama as pessoas que querem estar lá. Não é uma comparação justa de muitas maneiras.

Intronaut -Habitual Levitations New Album on March -#Metal #Tunesday

was really pumped to hear the new Intronaut full-length, Habitual Levitations (Instilling Words with Tones) when I heard the first single, "Milk Leg," now I'm beyond pumped. The band has posted a second track, "The Welding" over at Pitchfork.com and it's the perfect Monday morning jam. It starts out slow and ambient and really picks up resulting in some serious headbanging. Take a listen Habitual Levitations (Instilling Words with Tones) comes out March 19th on Century Media.

Katatonia - New Video "Lethean" -#watchVideo #Metal

The Swedish website Rocknytt.net has premiered a video for Katatonia’s “Lethean,” which you can watch exclusively right here. The song is dreamy and I love it; one of the stand-out tracks on last year’s most excellent album Dead End Kings. The video is pretty weird, and though I can’t really follow the plot-line — I think there’s a sort of city mouse / country mouse-type thing going on with the two woman protoganists — the video only makes stronger my desire to spend time in the Swedish countryside.
Or is the video simply a chronicle of two lost souls connected by some common thread, a reference to Greek mythology? Or perhaps its title is a reference to Star Trek? Given Anders Nystrom’s penchant for nerdery, I wouldn’t rule it out.

O vídeo é muito estranho, e embora eu realmente não pode seguir o enredo-line - Eu acho que há um tipo de coisa cidade ratazana / país rato coisas do tipo acontecendo com os dois protoganists mulher - o vídeo tem um  desejo de passar tempo no campo sueco.

Ou  simplesmente uma crônica de duas almas perdidas ligados por algum ponto em comum, uma referência à mitologia grega? Ou, talvez, seu título é uma referência a Star Trek? Dada a propensão Anders Nystrom por nerdery, eu não descartá-la.

Details about The Ocean’s forthcoming new album — their first since 2010′s double punch to the gut of Heliocentric and Anthropocentric –are still scarce. But here’s what we’ve been able to glean so far from various sources:

• It will be released on April 26th/29th in Europe and April 30th in North America, according to a Facebook post by the band yesterday.
• It will be released in two versions, one with vocals and one without.
• It might be called Pelagial. An email newsletter dated February 6th from Pelagic Records — Ocean mastermind Robin Staps’ own label — listed an Ocean album called Pelagial with a release date TBA in the bottom right corner. That it’s two CDs or four 10″ vinyls is consistent with the vocals/no-vocals news we already know, but the DVD bit is slightly confounding so it’s possible this is something else. Screen cap:

• The Ocean recorded the album in Sweden with Jens Bogren, and the recording and mix have both been completed.
• There is a Swedish guest vocalist on the album. He is the only guest vocalist on the album.

That’s all for now! But The Ocean have plenty of touring plans, too. They have not been scared away from the U.S. by their previous string of horrible luck on our shores and they vow to come back on their next album cycle, possibly for Summer Slaughter if the festival will have them (yes, please!). They’re opening for Gojira in France at the Metal Ride Fest in April and have several other dates booked around Europe. And last but certainly not least, Robin Staps has organized Pelagic Fest in Berlin on May 10th, featuring Cult of Luna, The Ocean (naturally), Ef, Khoma, Kruger, Abraham, Earthship and Lo! Gonna be an awesome time if you happen to live in or near Berlin.
