The Dead Ships como  proprio diz (na tradução Os Navios Mortos)esperamos que não  morra na praia e que nos traga supresa

porque é uma banda que tem  pontencial.

“When I Go Away” -Lançado  no início deste ano, a dupla de  o rock de garagem  virou trio assume a canção Larry Campbell  que apareceu no álbum de Levon Helm vencedora do Grammy Pin "Dirt Electric." uma estrela do  presente.talvez eles postem

Foi durante os intervalos fumando e vendo  TV de Los Angelesna pós-produção, onde o guitarrista / vocalista Devlin McCluskey e o baterista Christopher Spindelilus descobriu os seus interesses musicais comuns. Com Chris pegando seu primeiro kit de bateria e Devlin derramando seu coração como um cantor / compositor - a dupla decidiu misturar e transformar seus estilos para o que é agora The Dead Ships em nitido  pop e soul garage rock .

Demonstração da dupla ocorreu  em 2011, que culminou na mostra dos eventos em locais lendários como LA venues The Troubadour, The Echo and The Echoplex com King Khan, Anthony Greene,  e  Girl in a Coma. Ganhando comentários do LA Times, Buzzbands.LA e OC Weekly, a banda foi considerada e convidada para um  lançamento oficial. Eles terminaram o ano com sua turnê pelos EUA no primeiro apoio de um 7polegadas  o vinil foi chamado de espetacular.

Com uma nomeação da Revista Deli a melhor banda emergente  a banda começou a trabalhar em seu álbum primeiro f- Electric Acabe. Chamado de “a bluesy wrecking ball” pelo Los Angeles Times, este álbum é cheio de guitarras despojado e cativantese pop  que se reconectou com seu rock de garagem soul de  R & B raízes. Fiel ao espírito rock de garagem, a banda usou equipamento analógico vintage para gravar as faixas em  um fim de semana, em dois takes na 2 "fita.
O início de 2012 viu o lançamento de seu primeiro album, Electric Acabe,apresentarma-se no SXSW e performances em NXNE . Esta queda, a banda caiu na estrada em apoio da Electric Acabe novamente e trouxe o baixista Alex Moore para injetar um som fresco. Fizeram  33 shows em 41 dias em cidades da América do Norte, a banda realizou recentemente com Yo La Tengo, Childish Gambino, She and Him e The Soft Pack, tour e Two Gallants & PAPA e realizado na Semana Indie do Canadá e da música de Nova Iorque CMJ Maratona com Sea Wolf & JJAMZ

“When I Go Away” — Recording earlier this year at the Rocking Out Cancer benefit, the garage-rock duo-turned-trio takes on the Larry Campbell-penned song that appeared on Levon Helm’s Grammy-winning album “Electric Dirt.” Pin a star on this one. No download available, but maybe they’ll play it one of the Mondays this month during their residency at the Echo.

 was during graveyard shift smoke breaks at a Los Angeles TV post-production house, where guitarist/vocalist Devlin McCluskey and drummer Christopher Spindelilus discovered their shared musical interests. With Chris picking up his first drum kit and Devlin spilling his heart out as a singer/songwriter – the pair decided to intermix and transform their styles into what is now The Dead Ships; crisp, pop and soul inflected garage rock.

The duo's demo's trickled out in 2011 which spiraled into packed shows and sold-out events at legendary LA venues The Troubadour, The Echo and The Echoplex with King Khan, Anthony Greene, and Girl in a Coma. Garnering blown-away reviews from the LA Times, Buzzbands.LA and OC Weekly, the band was deemed “one to watch” before they put out an official release. They ended the year with their first US Tour in support of a 7” release that The Vinyl District called “Spectacular”.

With a “Best New Emerging Artist, LA” nomination from Deli Magazine under their belt, the band went to work on their first full-length album – Electric Ahab. Called “a bluesy wrecking ball” by the Los Angeles Times, this album is filled with stripped down guitars and catchy pop-inflected hooks that reconnect garage rock with its soulful R&B roots. True to the garage rock ethos, the band used vintage analog gear to record the tracks over one weekend, in two takes to 2”-tape.

The beginning of 2012 saw the release of their 1st full-length record, Electric Ahab, with a successful 6-show run at SXSW and performances at NXNE to support it. This fall, the band hit the road in support of Electric Ahab again and brought along bassist Alex Moore to inject a fresh, rich sound to the strong 2-piece. Hitting 33 shows in 41 days in cities across North America, the band recently performed with Yo La Tengo, Childish Gambino, She and Him and The Soft Pack, toured with Two Gallants & PAPA and performed in Canada’s Indie Week and New York City's CMJ Music Marathon with Sea Wolf & JJAMZ
