Dani Nolden vocalista da Shadowside brasileira banda de metal é uma em ascensão em todo o mundo. A banda é tanto de metal pesado da velha escola, mas pode levá-lo ao extremo com o melhor deles. Dani Nolden vocalist of the Brazilian metal band Shadowside is one on the rise around the world. The band is both old school heavy metal, but can take it to the extreme with the best of them. She is beautiful and driven; talented with a vision of what she wants to achieve with the group. For a band that started out with little expectation beyond recording their music, Shadowside found an audience quickly and soon were opening for bands like Nightwish and Iron Maiden.
Their new album ‘Inner Monster Out’ shows the band has matured and taken it to the next level in their musical evolution. The first 30 seconds alone of the opening track ‘Gag Order’ will get your attention and hold it through the entire CD’s 11 tracks. This song alone has all the elements a great metal song needs; opening killer riffs, an edgy drum and bass line, and vocals that soar across the spectrum. The ending sounds like a dream sequence in a horror movie. ‘Angel with Horns’, the second track, makes you think of Shadows Fall and then changes direction with off-beat staccato riffs and Dani’s signature voice melting it all into a potent thrill of sound. Every song on the CD holds up to anything in metal alone, but together this may be the hidden gem of the genre this year. Dani can soar with the best of them and her low baritone, drawn out moments end with melodic inflections unlike anyone else that comes to mind. All delivered with power and perfect pitch.

Shadowside is a unique name and the band has a great sound can you talk about the bands roots?
Dani – We started in my hometown; I live in Santos. It’s an island about an hour away from Sao Paolo. We kind of started as a garage band that just wanted to go into the studio. We didn’t really want to go out and we didn’t have any aspirations really, we just wanted to record our songs. So we went and recorded an EP and sent it to people to see what they would say. To our surprise a lot of people liked it and the press started going nuts (laughs) and we don’t know why because that EP was awful (laughing). We started playing a lot of shows and we found ourselves opening for Nightwish! The crowd just went nuts, over 7,000 people going crazy; so that is when we started thinking seriously. It was also a turning point in the band because some guys started thinking they were rock stars and others couldn’t handle the pressure. That’s when we started changing the line-up and finding the ideal members for the band that you see today.
Talking about touring; where have you guys played and who have you played with?
Dani – We played with Iron Maiden most recently and been to 21 countries. We’ve done five tours in the U.S. but they were mainly in the Midwest of the country. This tour we hope to hit more, we really want to play out West and Canada, too. I’ve lost count how many shows we have played.
You and I took similar paths musically, it kept getting heavier. What is the music scene like locally in Brazil? Is it thriving or?
Dani – In my hometown, I think ten years ago we had a more interesting scene because we had a lot more venues and space for new bands. Nowadays it just seems like there is only room for those bands that are established. New bands have a hard time finding places to play. They have to prove they have an audience. It’s a shame. It’s just the same bands that have no real aspirations; they just keep doing the same thing as a hobby really. In the rest of the country it is going well, we have a lot of new talent.
Now what is your background that led you to become a heavy metal singer?
Dani – I started with band like Queen singing with Freddie Mercury to learn vocalizations and backing vocals. That led to heavier music like Guns & Roses and Skid Row. My cousin got me into it all and he stopped listening to it (laughs) I went on to Judas Priest and Iron Maiden and it just kept getting heavier and heavier (laughing) I like guys with a lot of attitude, guys like Sebastion Bach and Rob Halford, Paul Stanley; voices that you hear and know immediately who it is you’re listening to.
Who are your influences and what other female rock vocalists do you enjoy watching perform and listening to?
Dani – I like Doro and Lana Lane, she was probably the one female singer that got to me because she does it all so effortlessly. Doro because she has been doing it for so long in her career, she started when things were really difficult for a woman in this business and genre and she never gave up!
Dani, thank you so much for taking the time for this today; what would you like to say to the readers and the fans?
Dani – We hope to see everyone at our show very soon; we hope to be doing a lot of touring in 2013. We want to hit Europe and North America again. Shadowside é único e que a banda tem um som ótimo, você pode falar sobre as influências da bandas?

Para nossa surpresa muita gente gostou porque o PE foi horrível (risos). Nós começamos a tocar um monte de shows e nos fizemos a abertura para o Nightwish! Paara uma multidão, mais de 7.000 pessoas enlouquecendo, de modo que é quando começamos a pensar a sério. Dani - Na minha cidade natal, eu acho que 10 anos atrás, tivemos uma cena mais interessante porque tivemos muito mais locais e espaço para novas bandas. Hoje em dia parece apenas há espaço para as bandas que estão são conhecidas . Novas bandas têm dificuldade em encontrar lugares paratocar. Eles têm que provar que têm upublico. É uma vergonha. É apenas as mesmas bandas de sempre , eles só continuam tocando as mesma por hobby realmente. No resto do país está indo bem, temos um monte de novos talentos.
Agora, o que a levou a se tornar um cantora de heavy metal?
Dani - Eu comecei cantando com por causa do Freddie Mercury do Queen para aprender vocalizações e backing vocals. Isso me levou para as música mais pesada como Guns & Roses e Skid Row. feita uma longa carreira , ela começou quando a mulher tinha dificuldades
neste negócio e ela nunca desistiu!

Dani - Esperamos ver todos no nosso show muito em breve, esperamos estar fazendo um monte de turnê em 2013. Nós queremos atingir a Europa e América do Norte novamente. IN MOURNING- Noticias e Biografia De Peso
Formed
in the year of 2000, In Mourning has been active as a band for over 12
years. Over the earlier years of its existence the band released several
demos and went through some changes in both lineups and musical
directions. At first starting out as a more goth-influenced band, before
finally finding both the direction and the solid lineup they were
looking for and releasing the album debut Shrouded Divine in 2008 and
the follow up, Monolith, in 2010.
In August 2011 In Mourning began recording their new conceptual album, “The Weight Of Oceans”. Once again the band is working with engineer Jonas Kjellgren in the Abyss and Black Lounge studios, resulting in about one hour of music.

DEATH AUDIO- Momentos De Um Caminho
Having gone through various single releases and line up changes in the past 5 years, the band has finally put out the album that their dedicated fans have been waiting what seems like an eternity for. While it may be a late entry in 2012, this album could very well be Australia’s metal album of the year.
I can’t remember when I first heard DEATH AUDIO, but if I had to take a guess I’d say early 2010 through some friends at school. At the time I was still new to metal and DEATH AUDIO’s mix of metal, hardcore and amazing melodies really opened up the door to the whole world of metal to me. It brings me great pleasure to say that none of that effect has been lost over the years, with the album containing 10 tracks of Australia’s top melodic metal/hardcore. The slick riffs, heavy breakdowns, hammering drums and mix of clean vocals and screams that fans have known and love are nothing but mastered in ‘Death Audio’. Long time fans will also enjoy the familiarity of songs like ‘Memories’, ‘This Moment’ and ‘Place The Blame’, as the band have recycled and polished up their previous singles to make a statement of who DEATH AUDIO are and what they do.
For newer fans, there’s a lot in ‘Death Audio’ to get excited about. Phil Gee, Tim Annett and the godlike Will Borland are masters of their axes, and Phil’s clean vocals are amazing to the point where they’re almost overshadowing Josh Cahill’s screams. All of this is powered through on Karl Steller’s heavy and technically brilliant drumming, which is by far this reviewer’s favourite aspect of the music. All these talents are accompanied by a small handful of other Australian musicians from all styles that add electronics, vocals, violins, guitar solos and much more to really complete the record. The amount of effort put in to the album by all involved shows from the aural assault of ‘Down’ to the climatic melodies of ‘The Fallen’ not a single shortcut taken in all 48 minutes of music.
DEATH AUDIO is Australia’s A-game now and ‘Death Audio’ is the new bar for Australian metal/hardcore acts, they’re everything they used to be and so much more. From soft melodies to tracks that really punch through your chest (that’s ‘Obstructions’ for sure) there is nothing out of reach for the diversity of these five masters of their arts and all their collaborators who assisted with making the album. Buy it for yourself, buy it for your mates, buy it for your grandma if you want. This is not an album to over look, because I can guarantee you’ll regret it.
Death Audio é uma banda que já fizeram um grande impacto na cena do metal brasileiro no palco com grandes nomes, incluindo atuando no Soundwave 2010, e agora eles estão aqui para quebrar mais uma vez com seu álbum de estréia auto-intitulado.
Depois de passar por vários singles e alterações nos últimos 5 anos, a banda finalmente lançou o álbum que os seus fãs estão esperando o que pareceu ser uma eternidade . Embora possa ser uma entrada tardia em 2012, este álbum poderia muito bem álbum de metal do ano.
Não me lembro de quando eu ouvi pela primeira vez DEATH AUDIO, mas se eu tivesse que dar um palpite eu diria que no início de 2010 através de alguns amigos na escola. Na época, eu ainda era novo para o metal e a mixagem do áudio do hardcore, metal e melodias incríveis realmente abriu a porta para o mundo do metal . Ela me traz grande prazer de dizer que nenhum dos que efeito tem sido perdido ao longo dos anos, o álbum que contém 10 faixas de Metal Melódioco e hardcore. Os riffs variados e pesados, bateria martelando e mistura de vocais limpos e gritos que os fãs conheceram e amor não são nada, mas masterizado em 'Audio Morte ". um metal tão viceral e tão supreendente que pode até não ser a melhor banda
do mundo mas tem tudo pra ser a mais importante
Muitos podem pensar que Kollwitz como uma banda de metal, apesar de se sentirem casa como uma banda de hardcore punk, post-rock e outros gêneros experimentais; uma paisagem sonora em que tentamos encontrar algo comum entre as fontes de inspiração que aparentemente não possuem nenhuma similaridade.

Ninguém sabe realmente onde Ottar vem, mas ele tem dentes de ouro e os bebês os amam então quem se importa?
A valorização do Gerija que usa os sintetizadores e baterias eletrônicas de epocas antigas um som muito hard rock com a intensidade do Megadeth adicinado ao T-rex e sua groove e elegância, acrescentando sintetizadores ficção cientifica e um monte de outras coisas também. OMG!
2012 marca o fim da humanidade, mas você sabia que ele também é o ano oficial da G? The band recently released the title track as the first single and video off the album, and the tune can be heard throughout this behind-the-scenes clip, which features frontman Matt Tuck and producer Don Gilmore discussing the disc.
In this exclusive video clip (watch below), Tuck says that BFMV’s recording process on this album was inspired in part by his work in his recent side project AxeWound. “We approached the record a lot differently this time around,” explains the frontman. “It was kind of more inspired by the way I did the AxeWound record. And that was basically: Get in the studio and write and record as you went along.”
Tuck goes on to reveal that BFMV went to Thailand with no demos, and wrote and recorded the album on the spot.

SEPULTURA- Andreas Kisser Fode A SepulReunion
I don’t like to talk too much smack on Andreas Kisser, because he’s a terrific guitar player and I have no real evidence that he’s a jerk or whatever; I’ve never really seen or heard about him doing anything super-douchey, unless you consider his part in the dissolution of the classic Sepultura line-up super-douchey, which you might. It does seem awfully funny that Max Cavalera left and the band basically never made anything good again, but that really just suggests that Max was the driving creative force behind the Sepulturawesomeness, not necessarily that Andreas Kisser should suck it.
But awhile back there was a rumor that there was gonna be a Sepultureunion, and now Max has told AltSounds that it almost happened – except a certain guitar player ended up mucking up the works:
It almost happened last year; I actually called Andreas myself and talked to him about it because I wanna do it, and I said ‘we should do it man, it’s the time’, and he said ‘let’s do it’. The next thing I know he has all these crazy demands, involving all these people that work for them and having him be the boss of everything, and I said ‘that’s not how it’s gonna be if it’s gonna happen’, and he started talking a lot about money and shit like that so I backed off. It’s not about the money, it’s about the name of the band and showing people what we were about when we were together, so now I’m not so sure. I don’t know if it’s gonna happen, I’m not worried about it, I think once people hear the new Cavalera Conspiracy album they are going to forget about the reunion, because it’s really powerful stuff.While it’s silly of Max to say “it’s not about the money” when we all know it would be at least a little bit about the money, to be honest, I don’t need to hear the new Cavalera Conspiracy album to forget about the reunion – ’cause I basically forgot about the reunion after the first Cavalera Conspiracy album. Yes, it would be pretty cool to see the Cavaleras share a stage with Kisser and Paulo Jr. again, but Inflikted sounded exactly the way I’d want a modern Sep album to sound, which is to say, it sounded more like old Sep than anything that band or Soulfly have recorded in the post-Chaos A.D. era.
So, on the one hand, if Andreas Kisser is happier making forgettable albums about A Clockwork Orange than he is doing something anyone cares about, well, someone who smack him upside the head so he gets his shit straight. On the other hand, as long as 50% of the old Sepultura is making albums that sound like the old Sepultura, then I don’t really need the old Sepultura back. Old Sepultura.

Então, por um lado, se Andreas Kisser é mais feliz fazendo álbuns esquecíveis sobre o filme Laranja Mecânica fazendo algo que ninguém se preocupa, bem, alguém que quer bater na cabeça assim que começa seu merda. Por outro lado, 50% do dos álbuns Sepultura soam como o Sepultura antigo, então eu realmente não preciso do Sepultura agora .

As one of the most established acts in heavy music Converge's ability to write and produce songs is now second nature, a fact that's obvious upon a cursory listen to All We Love We Leave Behind. "I think we really stepped up our game on this record. The most important thing to this band is that with every album we want to create something that excites us and moves us in some way," explains Bannon, who also crafted a 50-page book of original artwork inspired by the songs that accompanies the release. "There are a lot of subtle nuances on this record are really special to us and we definitely hit those individually on this record."
"All of our albums are emotional but I feel this is our most potent album to date," Bannon continues. "For me a songs like 'Predatory Glow' and ‘Empty on the Inside’ have a tone and resonance that communicates in a new way for our band," he adds, chalking up this ability to the fact that the group have become better songwriters by spending so much time on the road and in the studio perfecting their craft. "Success to me is creating something that's moving and fulfilling and I truly feel both of those things when I listen back and experience this album from start to finish." Converge have always been the type of band that never fit into one subculture and the band credit that to the fact that since their 2001 landmark album Jane Doe they haven't had any member changes. "I think because it's been the same four people for the past five records we've been able to really get comfortable with each other and develop our own personality," Ballou explains. "I don't listen to much music outside of what we've recorded so I think we're more influenced by our own history of playing together than what's currently happening in any scene."
