KILL THE NOISE -Anunciando Novo Album "BlackMagic"

69744_10151103395846822_506524555_n.jpg (850×351)

"Look at that crowd!" says a beaming Skrillex. "They are so pumped up, it's amazing." He's watching from the side of the stage as thousands of kids jump and scream at HARD Day of the Dead in L.A. last weekend. They're dancing to Kill the Noise, who records for Skrillex's label, OWSLA.
Between touring with Knife Party and his OWSLA labelmates, Kill the Noise (real name Jake Stanczak) is becoming accustomed to the growing live fan base. But he is quick to deflect the credit to his boss. "Sonny [Moore, Skrillex's given name] spent a lot of time helping the scene in a lot of ways, and helping us, so I feel like I owe a bit of that to him," Stanczak tells us in his trailer a few minutes after handing the decks over to Knife Party.
Skrillex influenced his work ethic, he says. "I spent a lot of time expecting something to come, and once I met that guy, it's like, 'Man, if you just work hard enough for long enough, the opportunities kind of align and happen when they're supposed to,'" he says. "It feels like for a lot of people, the time is now."

Making sure the momentum continues, Kill the Noise has just released a new EP, Black Magic, featuring collaborations with Feed Me (one of the artists on Deadmau5's Mouse Trap label) and a new artist by the name of Brillz from whom Stanczak expects big things.
"I guarantee this year people are gonna hear a lot from him," he says.
Another collaborator is a composer named Evan Duffy, who contributed a piano piece. Kill the Noise knows that might surprise some people. "A lot of the stuff I do is really aggressive electro and dubstep and drum-and-bass, [but] it's a little bit of everything on there, tempo-wise," he says of Black Magic.
With the seven-song EP, he intended to push himself out of his comfort zone. "I tried to explore my ability out of my specialty, which is more aggressive stuff," he says. "The past few years I've really been working on the melodic stuff, so that was the point on this one – to try to show that I can do that."
One of the perks of the growing scene is the ability to mix it up, he says. "I just feel like now it isn't necessarily so much about beating people over the head with the big drops and the loudness war," he says. "[With] some true fans, now you can kind of tell a story."
And that storytelling takes him back to his youthful tastes. "I think back to what was the most influential time for me listening to music. I'm 32 now – I grew up listening to Nine Inch Nails and Nirvana, and before that, Metallica," he says. "They would have the really crazy thing they were known for, but they would have a ballad and the weird electronic [stuff] produced by Butch Vig. So that's kind of what I want to do – get back to when I was a kid."

NOISIA-Dub Step Or Drum N' Bass???

261817_10150230896155859_8238757_n.jpg (720×480)

Original, emotional, visceral. These are all words that are used to describe Noisia’s music and each is more than justified. In less than a decade the Dutch trio, renowned for their unparalleled technical skill, has gone from releasing drum & bass on now defunct independent labels to crossing multiple genres, scoring for triple A video games, having their music used on trailers for Hollywood block
busters and producing and remixing tracks for some of the world’s biggest artists.

Working from their studio in their hometown of Groningen, Noisia have gradually developed and cultivated a sound that’s all their own; a sound that’s obsessed with production techniques; a sound that’s instantly recognisable whether you’re hearing three minutes of a Noisia track dropped at a festival or three hours of it while playing Devil May Cry 5. Having pushed the envelope and successfully managed to blend incredible sound design with unrelenting and uncompromising beats and basslines, Noisia’s sound is undoubtedly unique.
n 2003 the trio released their first forays into drum & bass on underground labels such as Blindside and Glasgow-based Nerve Recordings. From there it wasn’t long before those at the top of the D&B scene began to take notice, as legendary imprints like Moving Shadow, Renegade Hardware, Subtitles and DJ Friction’s Shogun Audio all lining up for the latest Noisia release. In just two years the young Dutchmen had become the go-to producers for hard and heavy beats and had remixed one of the D&B scene’s biggest anthems, Konflict’s ‘Messiah’.

Taking the next logical step, the group decided to set up their own label. Having gained their name by reading an upside down VHS tape with the word ‘vision’ written on it, Noisia re-inverted polarities and Vision Recordings was born. Vision has played host to a series of Noisia’s best singles and EPs, including the anthems ‘Stigma’, ‘The Tide’ and KRS One vocalled ‘Exodus’, meanwhile the group began forays into remixing the likes of Pendulum, Moby and Amon Tobin and producing tracks for other artists such as Foreign Beggars’ ‘Contact’ an incredible bass music/hip hop fusion which was way ahead of its time: All of which led to the release of their debut album ‘Split The Atom’ in 2010.

Meanwhile the group continue to pay homage to their roots by signing and developing some of the most exciting bass music artists to their Vision, Division and Invisible labels, travelling the globe and destroying some of the biggest festivals and arenas in the world - from Coachella to their own Noisia Invites events at Amsterdam’s infamous Melkweg and their own hometown of Groningen. No matter what Noisia’s vision is clear, these incredible producer’s producers will always stick to their guns, pushing an uncompromisingly original, emotional and visceral sound.

264742_10150230896545859_5705221_n.jpg (720×480)

Original, emocional e visceral.

“I think dubstep has become so huge because it’s a complete bastardization of electronic music,” exclaims rapidly emerging young producer and artist DATSIK. “There’s a little bit of everything thrown in the mix and dirtied up. There are pieces of hip-hop, the bass from electronic dance tracks and the roots of U.K. garage and drum & bass…Dubstep is totally the punk rock of electronic music.”

DATSIK (born Troy Beetles) sounds more like a young rapper than one of the world’s preeminent young dubstepstars, it’s for good reason. The Kelowna, British Columbia, native grew up a hardcore rap fan that still pledges allegiance to classic Wu-Tang Clan and it permeates his dark, aggressive music.

DATSIK’s future-tech dance-floor detonators exploded on the dubstep scene almost immediately, racking up a series of seven #1 tracks on Beatport, including at one time owning five of the ten tunes on their best-sellers chart. He’s also had smash hits on other music sites like Juno, Red Eye and Chemical Records and early remix credits include works for the biggest names in the game like Diplo, The Crystal Method and Bassnectar.

Next to manic dubstep tracks like the menacing “Napalm” (featuring rapper Messenian), the grimy, hip-hop swagger of DJ Z-Trip collaboration “Double Trouble” and the devastating first single “Fully Blown” with rapper Snack the Ripper, DATSIK’s debut album VITAMIN D is poised to set a new standard in the wild world of dubstep. Loaded with bone-rattling beats and enough energy to power the Vegas Strip, it’s poised to be the dubstep full-length to beat in 2012.

DATSIK cut his live teeth in 2011 as one of the featured artists on IDentity, North America’s first-ever all-electronic music tour, as well as support for KORN on their ‘Path of Totality’ tour. On the eve of the extensive DEADMEAT tour with Dim Mak label owner/DJ rock star DJ Steve Aoki, and with scheduled sets at festivals like Ultra Music Festival and Coachella, DATSIK’s already-legendary live shows will be hitting more than 40 North American cities just over the next few months.

“Lately, I’m focusing on creating memorable songs, so it’s always real music and not just a collection of cool beats,” DATSIK says finally. “Of course, it’s gotta be funky so people can dance to it. More than anything, I want people to be able to hum my songs, robot noises and all.”
