Around this time Bury Tomorrow had come to the end
of a two-years slog that dad seen their decent 2009 debut,
Portraits,spread its wings across th UK and Beyond,comenting the south
coast metalcore youngsters as one or the finest hingh-risers in a
starilingly producitive wave of fresh Britishtalente. The quintet's
blenbd of dierce, melodic death metal-inspired riffage and gloriously
anathemic choruses was seen as one of the crowing achievements of a new a
generation of metal bands that had been weaned on diet of The End of
Heartache, Waking The Fallen and Reroute To Remani. All was looking
rosy...or so it seemed. While Portratis was clearly a promissing step
towards greater things, direction that next step took was evidently the
source of some serious tension between the band and their interfering
management.
Eventually, it all came
down to what were planned as to farewell shows - that of Slam dunk
festival,and its not too dissimilar cousin, Ghosthfest, one week later.
At
thast point, it really did look like it was the end of the road. Two
years later in the gorgeous sunshine of Slam Dunk 2013 - a curiously
coincidental location for this interview - the brothers Winter Bates
reflect on the harshness of things in the BT camp at that time with
shared shudders and disbelieving glances.
Anyone who's been payinga attetion knows
exactly what happened next. The incridible Lionheart sigle droppe, blew
the face off of everyibe who heard it and dragged Bury Tomorrow from
the industry's peripheries and threw straight back onto the podium. Soon
after, another new track _ the similarly excellent Royal Blood _ ws
released, and it was clear that people were paying attetion again.

Blood atually got palyed on Radio 1 day time , on Xmas Eve," Remembers
Dani. "We were just like, How is This even happening ?!"from that
point, we knew that we were gonna do the album _ even if that was all we
were gonna do
Luckily , that wasn't all. The Uniion Of Crowns album was finally
record, picked up by Nuclear Blast and released last year to
widespread critical acclaim and extremely respectgable chart debuts. A
rather worthwhile stint on the US vans Warped Toyr followed, and
before they knew it, they were getting ready to make their debuts at
Download and at the Reding and Leeds weekender _ the latter of which
sees them open the main stage, sharing bill with the like of Green Day
,Sistem of down. deftones, nine inch nails, and Bring me the horizon.
Even By music fairy tale standards, that's a hell of a fuciking way to
bounce back
"Playing Reading is dream for us " enthuses Dani,which is
particulary meaningful given that, when he and his brother were growing
up, there was no Download, and it was Reading and Leeds was no
Download, that tended to attract meta's big hitters. "We thought we'd be
on the lock Up stage". he continues with a chuckle , "which would
still be huge for us, but then we got an email saying, ´Would't it be f
unny if we put you guys on main stage? Four days later, they told us
that we were doing it "
Em torno deste tempo Bury Tomorrow tinha chegado ao fim de um trabalho árduo de dois anos que viu lançamento de 2009, Portraits, abriu as portas alem da inglaterra , o metalcore jovens do sul dos jovens britanicos . O quinteto , inspirado nos riffs do Melodic Death-metal era visto como uma das realizações de uma nova forma de cantar de uma geração de bandas de metal . Felizmente, isso não era tudo. The Uniion Of Crowns foi finalmente um registro, captado pela Nuclear Blast e lançado no ano passado com aclamação da crítica e extremamente pela grafica com respeitada. A passagem bastante interessante pela Tour Warped nos EUA seguiram, e antes que percebesse, eles estavam se preparando para fazer sua estréia no Download Festival e no Reding e Leeds Weekender - o último veremos eles na abertura no palco principal, compartilhando o palco com bandas do nível de Green Day, Sistem Of Down. Deftones, Nine Inch Nails, e Bring Me The Horizon.
"Tocar No Reading é um sonho para nós", entusiasma Dani, o que é particularmente significativo, dado que, quando ele e seu irmão estavam crescendo, não tinham idéia e foi no Reading e Leeds foi no Download, que tendem a atrair grande publico.
